Did you know that the Riverland produces almost a third of Australia’s wine grapes?

Located just 2½ hours north east of South Australia’s capital, Adelaide

Our vineyards are on the the South bank of the River Murray in the Riverland region of South Australia. A wine growing district named after William Charles Loxton, a boundary rider during the late 1800s. Historically grapes were grown very early in the settlement and the area microclimates to suit a range of wine styles from sparkling to premium quality table wine.

Blessed with vast open spaces, the Riverland enjoys a consistent Mediterranean climate and long days of sunshine and fertile soil. Known for the production of award-winning chardonnay, shiraz, merlot and cabernet varieties. South Australia is known as Australia's wine capital.

The diversity of Australian landscapes and soils ensures an optimal environment for every variety of wine grapes. Australia creates wines from these wine grapes that are among the best in the world.
 
Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are the backbone of our vineyards, along with Chardonnay , Viognier and Muscat Gordo Blanco. These Mediterranean varieties which are well suited to the hot and dry climate of the Riverland Region.
